Our Mission

Peoples Foundation of Northwest Florida is committed to enhancing the well-being and quality of life for individuals and families receiving hospice services. Our foundation seeks to positively impact the well-being of patients and their families, extending comfort, dignity, and support during their sacred journey.  We embody the spirit of empathy, the grace of giving, and the acts of community service by providing essential resources, educational initiatives, and innovative programs that empower individuals and families suffering to live with comfort and peace.

Foundation Initiatives

Rock4Vets

Rock4Vets is an annual event featuring a 5k run/walk and live music! The funds raised through this event enable us to offer immediate assistance to local veterans in need, such as housing support, healthcare services, and essential supplies. Your contributions directly enhance the lives of those who have made significant sacrifices for our nation.

Camp HUG

Camp HUG (Help Understanding Grief) is a children's bereavement program that provides a safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Our program includes various activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, and group therapy sessions, to help children process their grief in a healthy and supportive way.

Good Samaritan

Our homeless outreach program is dedicated to helping veterans in our community who are experiencing homelessness. With help from our local partners, this program includes case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling, medical care, food and clothing assistance, and housing referrals.

Financial Support

Severe healthcare issues or illnesses can have a negative impact on individuals and families. Expenses such as deductibles, copayments, transportation, and medications are often not covered by healthcare plans. This can make it difficult to meet essential needs. We recognize these challenges and strive to support individuals and families facing these difficult circumstances.

Peoples Foundation of Northwest Florida Inc. offers financial assistance to eligible individuals and families approved by the board. We strive to provide support during difficult times and ensure that essential needs are met.

Bereavement

Bereavement support is an essential service and covered benefit provided by hospice. However, while hospice offers bereavement activities, memorial service expenses are not covered, yet they hold significant importance in the grieving process. Our foundation provides financial assistance for memorial services.

Peoples Foundation of Northwest Florida Inc. funds a memorial service each year where families and friends can honor and remember their loved ones. Commemorating their lives is a crucial part of the healing journey. This service brings together those who have experienced loss, allowing them to connect, support one another, and share cherished memories of their loved ones.
