Home health care visits typically last an average of 45 minutes. However, the length of each visit may vary depending on your individual needs and requirements.

Many insurance companies cover Home Health Care services provided they are medically necessary. Your healthcare provider can help you understand what is covered under your current plan.

Qualifications for Home Health Care services may vary, but generally speaking, individuals must meet the following criteria to be eligible for such services:

  • Have an illness or injury that requires medical treatment and ongoing care.
  • Require assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and meal prep.
  • Cannot leave home due to physical or mental disability or illness.
  • Have a diagnosis of an acute or chronic condition that requires care or therapy in the home setting.

Peoples Home Health Response to COVID-19

As always, the safety and well-being of our patients and the clinicians serving them is our primary concern.  We are taking many additional precautions to safeguard the health of our clinicians serving the community and using extra care to reduce their patient contact levels as recommended by the Center for Disease Control.

Our clinicians will continue to provide you quality compassionate care according to your plan of care.  They will visit on your usual schedule and are here for any questions or concerns you may have.  When your nurse or therapist arrives for their visit, we ask that there are as few people in the room as possible and that they sanitize their hands to reduce the spread of germs.  The CDC has provided us with resources to remain safe and healthy during this time.  View the Latest Updates.
